Last week many of us convened in Riverside for our community outreach project. Causecast was there to document and report, and has created this video.
More projects are coming up, each one an opportunity for you to join us in an Actual Action to reach out to your community and help us move closer to equality. Stay tuned!

ACTUAL ACTION’s RIVERSIDE RESPONSE
As LGBT people and our allies prepare for the national “Day Without a Gay” on December 10, please join us this Wednesday for a day of community service in Riverside, CA. Though Riverside is an area that heavily supported Proposition 8, we hope that through community outreach, we can put human faces on those of us who are in favor of equal rights.
In conjunction with the Riverside Parks department, we’ll be meeting at a section of the city’s Fairmount Park whose perimeter is in need of cleanup and painting. The Rose Garden where we’ll be cleaning is a community centerpiece for weddings, quinceaƱeras, and other family and community activities.
Please meet us at 11 AM at the Rose Garden at Fairmount Park in Riverside, and please wear appropriate clothing for painting and cleaning. Later, there will also be a march in Riverside at 3PM in protest of Prop 8 — we invite you to join us there, too!
This will be a fun activity where you’ll be working alongside many interesting, passionate people. Even better? You’ll be making a difference in the community and helping our fight for equal rights gain visibility through the media that will be present. Please come out and support our actual action and this very important cause this Wednesday!

The protests have run their courses, the town hall meetings are ongoing, and people are looking for the next step.
Actual Action invites you to participate in our upcoming action to coincide with the “Day without a Gay” on December 10th.
We’ll be coordinating a community outreach project in an area that supported Proposition 8 and does not support marriage equality. We hope to introduce ourselves through a day of community service, putting faces to the issue at hand. Please check back here for more info in the coming days.
